Amazing collage of Mr Rick De La Croix by contemporary artist Andy Hirst.
‘Andy Hirst is a 39-year-old contemporary artist based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He has worked predominantly in multimedia and oils, but lately produced a series of collage work. The collage works are usually large portraits (5ft x 4.5ft) on canvas comprised of magazine clipping built up in layers to form the facial features. Additional clippings and ripped-out pieces, of various relevant words and numbers are used to form phrases incorporated into the image to add more meaning and depth. Characterized by texture, detail and vibrant colors, the collage portraits work equally well from up close or from a distance.’

As summer came to an end, Rick De La Croix reached a major milestone.
The luxury timepiece executive turned 50 – and celebrated accordingly. Pieric ‘Rick’ De La Croix gathered hundreds of his closest family and friends, including top watch execs and international stars, on the Greek island of Mykonos for the big day. The festive attendees enjoyed a full schedule of events, which included unforgettable performances by Boy George, Julian Perretta, Nicky Jam, and Paul Oakenfold.
“My family, my friends, you are the real #rockstars for coming tens of thousands of miles to spend a week with me in the most incredible destination,” De La Croix captioned an Instagram post of his birthday getaway.
The new GPS MIAMI magazine recently published an article about me. The article touches upon my beginnings, my ascendance into luxury watch marketing, and my current activities in the field. Read the article in the link below, pages 93-96. Unlike another article a while ago, this one does not abuse the truth by naming Pieric de la Croix President of Hublot Latin America—call me Rick De La Croix, and I am CEO of Ares Distributors, which promotes and distributes Hublot and other luxury timepieces in the Americas.
Hublot collaborated with Paris-born street artist Mr. Brainwash to present an exclusive limited edition installation at its Bal Harbour boutique during the recent Art Basel Miami. The boutique itself was transformed into a piece of art for the evening, with Mr. Brainwash’s work completely covered around the store’s exterior. The celebration marked the installation’s first public viewing and unveiling, and guest including Russell Simmons, Swizz Beats, Sammy Sosa, Rick de la Croix and Eva Longoria enjoyed cocktails while browsing artwork and timepieces. At the close of the event, Ricardo Guadalupe and the ubiquitous Mr. Brainwash, who is also known for his work on Madonna’s “Celebration” album cover, presented a piece of art to Longoria to benefit the Eva Longoria Foundation.
